Ohio is on the verge of a second temporary budget as a full two-year plan continues to elude lawmakers and Gov. Ted Strickland. A story from the AP says, the Ohio Senate plans to vote on another seven-day budget on Monday. The House last week approved the plan to fund state government through July 14. Lawmakers appear no closer to resolving a disagreement over Strickland's proposal to put slot machines at race tracks. The Senate plans another hearing on the proposal Monday, while the House plans to explore $1 billion in additional cuts , and the governor was to hold a morning news conference. | ||
